CDEC Seeks New Director

The Fondazione Centro di Documentazione Ebraica Contemporanea CDEC onlus is currently looking for a high profile candidate to replace the current Director who is going into retirement in August 2016.

The Candidate has to have a specific cultural background, proven administrative skills and a capacity to inspire and lead the CDEC to achieve its academic, curatorial, educational and research goals.

Candidates may be of any nationality. An ability to speak and write Italian and English fluently is essential. A facility with other languages, in particular a working knowledge of Hebrew, will be a distinct advantage.

The CDEC Foundation is a Milan based, independent, non-profit Institute for Italian Jewish History and Culture, under the aegis of the Unione delle Comunità Ebraiche Italiane; it is also included in the list of cultural institutions of national interest supported by the Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali e il Turismo.
The mission of the CDEC Foundation is to promote the study of Jewish history, culture and society worldwide, with special emphasis on Italy, the Shoah and anti-Semitism in the contemporary age. At present, it has eleven employees, both part-time and full-time, and more than twenty volunteers.
