The Ghetto Reconsidered: Minority and Ethnic Quarters in Text and Images
On the occasion of the 500th Anniversary of the establishment of the Venice Ghetto (1516) by a decree of the Serenissima, the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari presents a conference on minority urban and national space. In collaboration with the university’s Department for the Study of Asia and Mediterranean Africa, the Department of Humanities and the international research network CNRS Socioanthropologie des Judaïsmes/Université Toulouse 2 Jean Jaurés, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree ‘MIM – Crossing the Mediterranean towards Investment and Integration.
