The Felix Posen Fellowship Post-Doctoral / Junior Faculty

The Felix Posen Post-Doctoral / Junior Faculty Fellowship is intended for scholars from Israel and abroad who have shown exceptional excellence, depth and originality in their academic work, and whose research investigates antisemitism, anti-Jewish hostility and the mechanisms of antisemitic prejudice through the ages, focusing on relations between Jews and non-Jews, particularly in situations of tension and crisis, and may include comparative perspectives on other forms of discrimination and racism.

The Center will award a one-year Fellowship in the Humanities, the Social Sciences, Law or Economics – beginning October 1, 2016. The Fellowship o ers an annual stipend of $30,000. Fellows are expected to be present at the Center for no less than three days a week and to participate in the Center’s academic activities.

Quali ed candidates must have completed their Ph.D. no earlier than November 2010. Candidates who have not yet graduated may apply; their acceptance will be conditional upon approval of their degrees by May 1, 2016.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS MARCH 1, 2016

Submissions should include: statement of research plan (2 pages, with title); two single-authored articles (already published or approved for publication); two letters of recommendation, including one from the applicant’s dissertation advisor and one from a Hebrew University faculty member willing to serve as the applicant’s sponsor; curriculum vitae and list of publications; complete contact information; and evaluations of the doctoral dissertation (if this is not already included in the letters of recommendation).
